NiiNu

NiiNu was born from Japanese tradition and the nature and life of Denmark.
Shaped by the aesthetic refined in Tokyo and the quiet time spent by the beaches of Aarhus,
each fabric carries the rhythm of these two lands, woven through my hands and senses.

Founded by Kae Niinuma, who worked in Tokyo’s fashion industry until 2021, lived in Italy, and moved to Denmark in 2022,
NiiNu is a Japan × Denmark based handmade brand that tells stories through fabric.

The name NiiNu blends my family name Niinuma with the Japanese words for sewing (Nuu) and cloth (Nuno), symbolizing how every piece is stitched with personal meaning.

NiiNu is about creating fashion as art – sustainable, unique, and timeless.
Each piece is handmade using only organic cotton and original prints in small quantities,
designed to be one-of-a-kind — wearable as both clothing and art.

From a single piece of cloth, a new story begins.
